Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Obadiah Moyo, is ready to tackle the cholera outbreak, which has claimed lives in the capital with over 2000 cases recorded. The outbreak has since been declared an emergency and in one of the measures, vendors have been banned from selling meat products in the areas battling cholera. Doctor Moyo said this during the tour of Nazareth Hospital along with Harare Mayor Hebert Gomba and partners from United Nations to assess the situation pertaining the cholera outbreak. Doctor Moyo said they were also looking at the issue of health services to be able to stop the spreading of Cholera, He went on to say that the medical team is giving out antibiotics and testing equipment to make sure Cholera is done with. In Budiriro classes have been suspended from schools in response to two children that died and 20 others who are sick. The cholera outbreak is a matter of urgency and the City of Harare will be declared in emergency especially in the areas it is.
