Over 21 000 marginalized girls and young mothers aged between 10 to 19 years old who have dropped out of school or who have had the opportunity to learn, will now have the opportunity to access basic education over the coming five years. Sixty-three community-based learning hubs in seven rural districts are being opened around Zimbabwe in support of Supporting Adolescent Girls’s Education Programme (SAGE). The programme is being funded by UKaid. the programme is set to expand from 7 to 11 districcts which include Mutasa, Mutoko, Mothern Central Harare, Khami, Bulilima, Chimanimani, Regigate, Epworth-Mabvuku-Tafara, Imbizo, and Highglen. It is scheduled to run till December 2024.
